William Allen Hatcher

August 17, 1962 — April 25, 2019

William Allen Hatcher, age 56, of Elgin passed away on April 25, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.

Allen was born on August 17, 1962 in Leesburg, Florida to Jasper “Jack” and Elizabeth Ann (Kirkland) Hatcher. Upon graduating from high school, he worked in the agriculture/produce industry and was Public Services Director for Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Allen made his was to Texas in 1996, after a brief stop in Oklahoma, and began working in the garage door industry. He started his own garage door business (Allen’s Garage Door Services) in 2000. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to bow hunt, fish, garden, barbeque and work around the house. Allen was loving, fiercely loyal and protective of those he loved and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years Patricia (Fisher) Hatcher, brother Glenn (Rose), sister-in-law Maureen (Clyde), step son Charles (Rachel) Fisher, nephew Phil (Naomi) Hatcher, niece Tabatha (Chris) Van Vuren, granddaughter Arisa Fisher and grandson Anthony Fisher. Allen was proceeded in death by his mother Ann, father Jack, and brother Clyde.

A Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 30, 2019 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Providence Jones Funeral Home in Elgin. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
