Weldon Noel Clark

Weldon Noel Clark, age 77, of Rockdale, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2023. Weldon was born on December 20, 1945, in Elgin, Texas, to Wallace and Mary (Wolf) Clark.

Weldon served his country in the US Army as a cook. He then went to work as a millwright. He stepped away from millwrighting to build race cars, but soon went back to it working for the Millwright Local 1421 based out of Arlington, Texas, from which he retired. He continued to build race cars as his hobby throughout his life. Weldon was an excellent handyman who could fix anything. He would tear whatever is was apart, fix it, and put it back together in better shape than it originally was. His penchant for fixing things will be greatly missed.

Weldon is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Mary Clark, sister, Evelyn, and daughter, Belinda. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Diane (Chumley) Clark, two sons, Bill Clark (Lara) and Michael Schane (Teresa), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Knobbs Springs Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Knobbs Springs Cemetery.
