She relished the warmth of her grandchildren and looked forward to the numerous gatherings the family held annually.
Sue and Bob were active members of Cedar Valley Baptist Church in Elgin. She was a talented musician on the organ and piano, a love she passed on to her sons. Books and her dogs were her constant companions. A voracious reader, she kept Bob running to the public library every week. Her other hobbies and talents included making ceramics, crafting hand-made quilts, and collecting dolls. The granddaughters loved playing with the dolls they could get their hands on. Every grandchild, even the newest great-granddaughter born in March received a special hand-made, forever quilt from Mema.
