Stanley Leonard Browder

June 5, 1945 — April 10, 2019

Stanley Leonard Browder, age 73, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2019.

Stanley was born to Lavern and Lela Browder June 6, 1945, at home in Arkansas County, Arkansas. He is the fifth of eight children. He grew up in the era where parenting was more free range; he lived in the country, explored the woods, played in the dirt under the porch, and most of the summer went without a shirt. He attended Arkansas Boys State the summer between his junior and senior year. He graduated from Drew Central High School near Monticello, Arkansas. He served in the Air Force. He graduated from Arkansas Agricultural and Mechanical College, now known as University of Arkansas at Monticello. After college he worked in state government, insurance, and the construction industry in Arkansas, Wyoming, and Texas. He has enjoyed retirement for the last several years. He loved keeping up with old friends on Facebook and loved hearing from them.  He was devoted to his wife and family and his siblings and their families. To Stanley, family is paramount.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzanne Douglas Browder, his brother Norman Browder, his mother Lela Browder, and his father Lavern Browder.

He is survived by his son Johnathan Stuart Browder of Elgin, Texas, daughters Joanne Foxx Thomas (Michael) of Dripping Springs, Texas, and Leanne Foxx Ballard-Chavez (Frank) of Belton, Texas. He has four grandchildren Aurianne, Jacob, and Ryan Thomas, and Brittany Ballard. He also is survived by siblings, Wanda Black (John) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Bobby Browder (Gloria) of Wichita Falls, Texas. Donald Browder(Beth), Brenda Barnhill, Cheryl Browder all of Little Rock Arkansas, and Gayle Shultz of Atlanta Georgia as well as 19 nieces and nephews, plus a host of great nieces and great nephews.
