Scot West

Scot West passed away from a short fight with a rare and aggressive form of cancer on October 5, 2017 at MD Anderson with his family by his side. He was born September 27, 1957 to Harvey and BettyJo Mary Long West in Baytown, Texas.

Scot worked for Vanguard Fire Systems for the last 10 years until his health made him leave.  In his spare time he liked to play golf and ride his Harley. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, all four sisters, and one niece.

He is survived by his wife of almost 37 years, Rhonda; four children, Scot Allen and wife Mechelle, Anisha and spouse Jovan, Dustin, and Deborah and boyfriend Kevin; six biological grandchildren, Jayden, Kimberley, Isaac, Richard-Anthony, Ady, and Xavier; and two step-grandchildren he considered his own, Jasmyne and Madex. He is also survived by nephew Chris and wife Tammi who he was very close to, plus many other nephews, nieces, great friends, including those he made at Roger Beasley Mazda of Georgetown, and co-workers.

A celebration of Scot’s Life will be held 1:30 PM Sunday January 14, 2018, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.
