Ruth Vines Turner

Ruth Vines Turner, age 78, passed to her heavenly home on November 12, 2019 at her home in Elgin, TX with her daughter by her side.

Ruth was born on June 20, 1941 in Prairie County, Hickory Plains, AR to Jewell Leon Vines and Alma Pace Vines.  She married Marvin Allen Turner on August 2, 1958 in Shelby County, Memphis, TN.

Ruth is survived by her son Mike, daughters Karen (Michael) Sugars and Beth (Terry) Thompson, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Marvin Turner, her father, Jewell Vines, mother, Alma Harrison, and sister, Peggy Sanders.

A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2019, Providence-JOnes Family Funeral Home. A celebration of Ruth's Life will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 22, 2019, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Young's Prairie Cemetery.
