Rosa "Rosie" Kiddy

Rosie Kiddy was welcomed home with our heavenly Father on April 26, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 6, 1952, to Desiderio Lee and Josephine Castro in Austin, Texas.

Rosa grew up in East Austin and Graduated from Johnston High School. She started working at a young age and quickly found a profession in the healthcare field. She married her husband, Allen Kiddy Sr, on December 7, 1987. They relocated to South Austin and began their journey in raising their three children, Angela, Anthony and David.

Rosie enjoyed family time and adored her grandchildren. Among some of her hobbies were rescuing dogs and collecting purses. Rosie was a Christian who loved the Lord and loved serving in her local church.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Martinez Castro, father, Desiderio Lee Castro, husband, Allen A. Kiddy, brother, Albert Castro, sister, Lupe Sanchez

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Gonzalez (Carmen), son, Anthony Kiddy (Yolanda) son, David Kiddy, Grandsons, Anthony J.Kiddy, Christopher A. Kiddy and Andrew J. Gonzalez, granddaughters, Melody C. Kiddy and D’andra A. Kiddy, sisters, Maria Elena (Nena) Castro, Cecilia Castro, Alice Castro, Eva Castro, brothers, Robert Castro and Adam Castro.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, followed by a celebration of her life at 6 pm, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday May 9, 2023, Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
