Robert T. Westbrook

Robert T. Westbrook, age 88, of Lexington, Texas, passed away January 3, 2019.

Robert was born April 30, 1930 to William and Mary Westbrook.  He married the love of his life Mattie Beauchamp on November 3, 1951, they were married for 67 years. Robert serviced in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. After serving in the Army he went to work for Safeway as a manager for more than 30 years. Robert was a member of Adina Christian Church in Lee County and a member of American Legion Post 6 in Lexington, Texas.  He also was a member of the Blue Volunteer Fire Department.   In his spare time he loved to read, play 42 and tend his garden and cattle.  Robert was a devoted family man and loved being around his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son Robert L. Westbrook.

Robert is survived by his wife Mattie, daughter Donna Westbrook (David Goodwin), brother Harvey Westbrook, as well as his sister Mary Hansard and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with a Celebration of Robert's Life beginning 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Adina Cemetery.
