Peggy Joyce Johnson, age 73, of Caldwell, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2022. She was born to Robert Edward and Eunice Eulane Prather Woods on October 8, 1948.
Peggy counted among her blessings her sister, Donna Walker, of Roswell, Georgia, her brother, Richard Woods of Huntsville, Texas, her daughter, Cecilia Tiner and husband, Mark, her grandchildren, Ryan Tiner and wife, Hanna, Mitchell Tiner, Erica Tiner, and Elizabeth Miller, her great grandchild, Wynston Tiner and coming soon, Oaklynn Tiner.
Preceding her in death are her parents and her son, Jimmy David Miller, Jr.
Peggy is a member of the Burleson County Cowboy Church and was confident in her faith of the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
As an animal lover there were many cats, dogs, horses, chickens, turkeys, and sheep that were loved and cared for by her. She was a member of the Texas Border Collie Association and received the 2012 Dog of the Year award. The same year she won the Triple Crown and qualified for the U.S. National Border Collie Association dog trial in Oregon.
As a gifted pianist, Peggy willingly shared her gift of music with many congregations. She especially loved playing for children’s choirs, Sunday School, and any youth program.
Peggy leaves many dear friends, family, and church friends who became like family to treasure her memory.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 3:00 PM at the Burleson County Cowboy Church in Caldwell, Texas.
