Pedro Zarate Martinez

Pedro Zarate Martinez, age 64, of Harker Heights, Texas, passed away on October 1, 2021.

Pedro was born in San Luis Petosi, Mexico on June 29, 1957, to Francisco and Anselma Zarate. He married Francisca Rodriguez Zarate.

He worked as a machine operator. Pedro loved being at the lake, soccer, cooking, and helping others. He always cared for everyone and was a father figure to so many.

Pedro is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Francisca, his children, Federico Zarate Flores, Anna Maria Flores, and Alma Delia Zarate Flores, his brothers, Alejandro Zarate Martinez, Everardo Zarate Martinez, Marcial Zarate Martinez, Pablo Zarate Martinez, and Jacinto Zarate Martinez, his sisters, Paulina Zarate Martinez, Lucia Zarate Martinez, Feliz Zarate Martinez, and Julia Zarate Martinez, and his four grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elgin. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Austin.
