Paul Leon Teague

Paul Leon Teague, 84, of Elgin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Leon was the fourth child born to David and Ila Teague in Afton, TX on May 4, 1940. In 1959 Leon joined the US Navy serving four years. After the Navy Leon worked for General Dynamics working on jet engines and then with Brown-Root working in construction on power-plants including Decker and La Grange.

In 1967 his brother and sister-in-law introduced him to Bessie Moreland, who would soon become his wife. Leon and Bessie married on July 1, 1967 at Bessie’s parents’ home in Austin. They shared 54 years together raising their two daughters and watching their grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

Leon was proceeded in death by his wife Bessie Moreland Teague; both of his parents David and Ila Teague; his sister Charlotte Teague; his brother Wilbur Teague; his sisters-in-law Linda Teague and Marcie Teague; his brother-in-law Bill Chandler; his sons-in-law Brent Jakobeit and Chris Piña; niece Brenda Teague; nephews Dale Teague and David Teague.

He leaves behind his daughters Beth Lynette Piña and Betty Marie Davidson; six grandchildren; Chris Piña Jr and wife Veronica Piña, Amber Cortes, Jessica Piña, Cody Jakobeit and wife Kaela Jakobeit, John Davidson and Andrew Davidson; six great-grandchildren; sister Marie Chandler; brother Bill Teague; nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home Chapel, 604 HWY 95 N, Elgin Texas 78621.

The Service will begin 10:00 AM Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home Chapel and interment will follow at Youngs Prairie Cemetery, 142 Youngs Prairie Rd, Elgin, Texas 78621.
