Patsy Marie Hartcraft Bowers, 82, of Elgin, Texas, passed from this life to her heavenly home on September 29th, 2024. Patsy was born to Paul Hartcraft Sr. And Mary Bell Hartcraft on September 6th, 1942, in Brady, Texas. Patsy grew up with four brothers. She was baptized in the United Pentecostal Church and continued to grow her faith in the church where she played the accordion. Patsy later relocated to Austin, Texas with her parents to attend beauty college to become a cosmetologist. Later, Patsy worked as a residential property manager for El Presidente and spent many years helping the residents that passed through. She was known for her “prized apricot nectar cakes, potato salad and the best sweet tea.” Her tea is used as the measuring stick for all of us.
Patsy is survived by her daughters, Pam Tumlinson and Kathy Jennings (Kenneth), five grandchildren, Justin Tumlinson (Kristen), Kelly Percle (Jared), Katrina Yohn (Justin), Koy Jennings, and Tyler Arnold. She was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Gisele and Kobe Silvestri, Kase and Taylor Tumlinson, and Phoenix Percle. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Wayne Hartcraft, and two sister-in-laws, Sandy Hartcraft and Merlene Hartcraft. Patsy is survived by multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Hartcraft, brothers, Paul Jr., Billy Ray, and Freddie Hartcraft, and sister-in-laws Lynda and Vicki Hartcraft.
Services for our mother will be held at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home at 604 Hwy. 95 North Elgin, Texas 78621. Family viewing at 10:00am and service at 11:00am. No graveside service; however, the family will gather at Meyer’s Elgin Smokehouse 188 US-290, Elgin, Texas after the service.
