Oran John Williams, age 86, of Austin, Texas passed away Friday, April 13, 2018. Oran was born January 14, 1932 to Early and Mary (Miller) Williams in Bastrop, TX.
He attended Mt. Woodrow School in Bastrop, TX. Oran gave his Life to Christ and baptized. He meet the love of his life Ethel B. ad later married on April 25, 1952. To this union five children were born. Oran was a member and a Deacon of Mt. Pleasant P.B. Church Cedar Creek and later moved his membership to Bastrop Chapel P.B. Church. He loved signing, his family, helping others, he was always available when family called. Oran retired form construction. After retiring he enjoyed farming and tending to his cows, hogs, horses and planting crop.
Oran is preceded in death by his wife Ethel, both of his parents, Sister Vera Smith, his three brothers Johnnie, Early Jr., and Artis Williams and son Ralph Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory are is children; daughters Debra Zimmerman (Eugene) of Cedar Park, Texas, Iva Williams-Bradford of Austin, TX, Kathy Haywood of Austin, TX, daughter-in-law Kelly Williams of St. Louis Mo. Son’s Michael and Larry Williams of Austin, Texas, his grandchildren; Erin Zimmerman, Bryan Williams, Evonne Bradford, Andrea Bradford, and Mariah Williams, and Twenty One great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Ruth Mackey of Delvalle, TX, Helen Barnett of Bastrop, TX, and Magnolia Haywood (Pastor Eddie) of Killeen, TX, and a host of Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, April 20, 2018 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Oran’s Life will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 21, 2018 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Shiloh Cemetery, Bastrop, TX.
