Opal Lanell Jones

Opal “Opie” Jones was called home to Heaven the evening of August 4, 2021.

Opal was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Lanell Jones, her parents, Foster and Thelma Lewis, sisters, Eva Ollie Lewis, Jane Lewis, Dale Lewis, and Gale Wusterhausen, and brothers, Jack Lewis and William Robert Lewis.

Opal is survived by her sisters, Margie Schindler, Esther Collins, and Judy Layton, her brothers, Harston (Buddy) Lewis, Danny Joe Lewis, and Richard Lewis, along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in memory of Opal.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday August 14, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in McDade, Texas. Pastor Mark Nygard will be officiating.

**All who plan to attend the service will be required to wear a mask.**
