Norman Glen Boehme, age 85, of Manor, Texas finished his earthly race and went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, September 18, 2023. He was called Home after a long illness.
Norman was born in 1938 in Caldwell, Texas to Herbert and Pearl (Rankin) Boehme. He graduated Caldwell High School and served in the U. S. Army Reserves. He married Laverne Urbanovsky in 1961 and they lived in Austin and later in Manor, Texas. Norman loved Jesus, his family and friends, and all of his animals. He loved taking care of his cattle and other creatures. He was a hard worker who had varied vocations as a printer, farmer, rancher and maintenance worker. He retired from Manor ISD Maintenance department, but continued his farming and ranching. Norman loved people and God’s critters. He loved to talk and tell stories. He was a rare fan of both Texas and Texas A&M football. Norman was a kind, faithful, honest man, and he will be missed by his family until we see him again.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Laverne, his parents and his sister, Sherry.
Norman is survived by sons Randall [Tammy] Boehme and Ricky [Sara] Boehme
A visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin, Tx. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 AM September 29, 2023 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Deanville, Tx.
Memorials can be made to Holy Word Lutheran Church in Austin and / or St. John’s Lutheran Church in Deanville, TX.
