Michael Lampron, 59 passed away peacefully at the Christopher House in Austin, Texas on December 22, 2023. He was born in Boston on January 3, 1964, to Charles and Claire Lampron. Beloved husband of Kelly (McLaughlin) Lampron. He was born and raised in Boston but most recently had moved to Cedar Creek, Texas after years of spending the summers on Cape Cod and winters in Texas.
Michael was a hard worker his entire life. Over the years, he worked at McGregor Heating & Air with his brother Buster. He left there to become a mail carrier. With no sense of direction, he was fortunately stationed at his hometown of South Boston. During his time at the Post Office, he formed many treasured friendships that he spoke of often.
One Christmas Eve, Kelly was waiting for Michael at her sister's house. He was late and she assumed he was out drinking with the guys. When he finally arrived at her sister's, he explained why he was so late. He and Dave had worked late to deliver Globe Santa packages to children who otherwise would not have had gifts that year. His wife will never forget how proud she was at the moment. It was a perfect example of his love for children.
Kelly and Michael were together 42 years and married 33 of those. In those years together, they enjoyed traveling. His most treasured vacations were with the kids. He touched the hearts of many children and where he will always remain.
Michael is predeceased in death by his sister, Claire N. "Sissy" Lampron and both parents Claire and Charles Lampron. He is survived by his loving wife Kelly Lampron, and his brothers, Charles M. "Buster" Lampron III and Robert L. Lampron. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service to honor Michael's life on Saturday, January 20th at 2:00 p.m. (3:00 pm Eastern time) at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 Highway 95, Elgin, Texas. There will be a live stream for the family and friends in Massachusetts. You can find the link on the funeral homes web site. There will be a luncheon to follow at El Nuevo Restaurant, 201 Childers Drive, Bastrop.
