Mary S Lopez

Mary S Lopez passed on to her forever home peacefully on February 12, 2025, at the age of 93 after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease. Up until the end Mary maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty and love of family and friends. She expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful, varied experiences. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Born in Pflugerville Texas on July 1, 1931, she will be remembered for her love of dance, flowers and family.

Mary is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Lopez-Roeper (Fred), Carolyn Ray (Del) and Patricia Markert (Jody).

Three sisters, Virginia Cardenas, Connie Samudio and Delores Garcia. As well as one sister-in-law, Lala Samaripa.

Grandchildren, Eric Ray, John Thomas Lopez-Roeper, Mykaela Lopez-Roeper, Shelby Vybiral (DJ) and Seleste Markert

Great Grandchildren, Elaria Ray, Elijah Ray, Blakley Vybiral and Hartley Vybiral

Extended family, Nikki Elders, Kendell Reyes, Austin Patterson and the Staff, employees and patients at Pflugerville Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Citiaco Castillo, parents Timoteo and Carmen Samaripa. Brothers Matildy Samaripa, Paul Samaripa, Jessie Samaripa and Joe Samaripa and sister Susie Briseno.

Life's not measured by the years, but by joy, beyond all tears.By dances shared and songs we sing, by all the happiness we bring. So, celebrate each step you took, each hand you held, each smile that shook the world with pure delight and love. Now dancing in the stars above, for life's dance that must go on, through every dusk and every dawn. Keep dancing to the music, until once more our souls meet.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00PM Monday, February 17, 2025, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 HWY 95 N, Elgin, Texas 78621.

Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at St Joseph Catholic Church, 10104 Hill Ln, Manor, Texas 78653. Interment to follow at Manor City Cemetery, 582 N Lockhart St, Manor, Texas 78653.
