Mary G.. Herrera

Mary G. Herrera, 66 yrs., of Elgin, Texas passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 after a long and very hard-fought battle with cancer.

Mary was born in Mathis, Texas on July 10, 1952, to John Garza & Billie Webster.  On February 11, 1971, she married Manual Herrera of Elgin.  Mary was employed with the State of Texas for 35 years. She is proceeded in death by both of her parents and sisters, Susie Craig and Rosa Tabarez.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, three children Michelle & Husband Rico Hernandez, Melissa and Husband Ron Collins and Christina and Husband Brandon Wilson.  Mary is also survived by her sisters, Joelin Garza Segura and Cindy Garza; and ten grandchildren who she loved dearly, Ryan, Ariel & Nicholas Trevino, Cross Hernandez, Ron Jr., Jamal & Mariah Collins, Alexis, BJ & Payton Wilson.  We would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit Mary over the years especially recently when she became ill. We would also like to thank a very special friend who was an honorary sister to Mary, Gail Nicholson.
