Mary Beth Hillard, age 64, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017. She was born Mary Elizabeth Anderson to Bill and Judy Anderson in Brownfield, Texas on November 28, 1952.

Mary Beth retired from the Treasury Department in Austin, Texas on December 31, 2012 after working twenty-six and half years. She was very proud of her government career and public service. In 2012 she received the National Collection award for outstanding service for field Technical Support in her position as a Property Appraiser and Liquidation Specialist. This is one of a few and very limited awards given each year for the entire Federal Internal Revenue Service. In retirement Mary Beth enjoyed gardening and sewing, especially teaching her granddaughters how to sew. Mary Beth and her husband, Sam Hillard, were married for 15 years and enjoyed their home, their children and grandchildren, taking their boat to the lake, and traveling together.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Mary Beth is survived by her husband and soulmate Sam Hillard of Elgin, Texas; daughter Kobi and husband Brandon LeBlanc of Jarrell, Texas; son Jason and wife Tiffany Melton of Houston, Texas; son Nye and wife Rachel of Georgetown, Texas; and daughters Maeghan and Caitlon McLerran-Hillard of Cameron, Texas. She was blessed to be Mimi to eleven grandchildren; Hawk, Kanga, and Dove LeBlanc; Madi Kate, Emery, James, and Jett Melton; and Zoe, Valor, Kylie and Brynlee Justice. Mary Beth is also survived by her two brothers and sisters-in-law; Mark and Beverly Anderson of Lubbock, Texas and David and Teri Anderson of Sand Springs Oklahoma; niece Casey and husband Don, and great-niece Peyton Carlson of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania; niece Alesha and husband Adam, great-nephews Layton, Luke and Liam Hoffman of Claflin, Kansas and nephew Zach and great-niece Scarlett Anderson of Cornith, Texas.

Those wishing to make charitable donations are encouraged to support either the Wounded Warrior Project or American Cancer Society. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Main Street Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas. Her ashes will be scattered by her family at a later date and location.
