Martha Carleen (Sherry-Egleson) Allen

Martha Carleen Allen( Sherry-Egleson), 51, of Dale, Texas, passed away on April 30, 2023. Martha was born on June 18, 1971, in Austin, Texas, to Jerry Wayne Sherry and Carolyn Ann Sherry (Egleson).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents Bill and Ruby Egleson, Elizabeth Ritchie and Thad Sherry, and her step-daughter Allison Andrews, as well as several cousins, aunts, and uncles that she held dear.

Martha is survived by her children Sasha Allen (Thomas), Gabrielle Allen (Drayven), and Jacob Allen, her granddaughters Sapphire, Dixie, and Liberty, and her grandson Tyler. She is also survived by her sister Alicia Simmons (Quinten), her nephew's; Brandon Fuller (Kesha),Chase Simmons, Cody Simmons and Shawn Rowland, niece; Melissa Simmons as well as her great-nieces Zoe, Alexus, Grace, and Miranda, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Martha was a loving sister, mother, and most of all, Noni to her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was an amazingly strong woman who faced hardships throughout her life and moved forward despite all that the world threw at her. She gave her children everything she could and more, and most importantly, she never stopped loving them. Martha's hugs will always be felt long after she lets go because she held her children's hearts. She told them to stay strong because she knew they would need to be to survive after she left them. Martha was a light in a very stormy world, and she will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Martha's Life will be held at Providence Jones Family Funeral Home on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
