Angela Rojas, age 81, a native of Taylor, Texas, made her transition to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her beautiful birds and plants.
Angela was born on September 29, 1942, in Palo Blanco, Municipio de Cedral, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to her parents Prisca Luna Castillo and Victor Robles Cruz. Angela was a devoted wife to the late Seferino Rojas Sr., to whom she was married for over 55 years. A dedicated homemaker, Angela spent her life raising her nine children in a Christ-centered home and working alongside her husband in all their endeavors.
Known for her servant's heart, Angela's compassion touched many lives. Her contagious laugh and great faith in the Lord were hallmarks of her character. A devout Christian, Angela loved to sing and pray for the ill, her prayers powerful and filled with scriptures she memorized from the Bible.
Angela's love for others was evident in her delicious cooking, especially her famous tamales, which were a family favorite. She was also a talented knitter and seamstress, creating beautiful quilts and gifts for her loved ones, including all her grandchildren. An avid gardener, Angela had a genuine green thumb and cultivated an extensive, beautiful garden around her home. Her love for birds added a unique charm to her life as she enjoyed talking and singing with them.
Above all, Angela cherished spending quality time with her children, surrounded by a table of Mexican cuisine and laughter. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great friend to many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Angela is preceded in death by her parents, Prisca Luna Castillo and Victor Robles Cruz; her loving husband, Seferino Rojas Sr.; her daughter, Juanita Rojas; and her son, Seferino Rojas Jr.
Angela is survived by her children: Jaime Rojas (Angeles), Irma Castillo (Juan Francisco), Mary Flores (Raymond), Teresa Morgan (Chris), Letisia Flores (Victor), Frances Espitia (Miguel), and Veronica Ellis (Pete). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her nephew Juan Robles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved her dearly.
A Celebration of Angela's life will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 3, 2024, Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Interment will follow in the Taylor City Cemetery.
