Marguerite Clark Cameron Willard, age 97, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2022. She was born on March 17, 1925, in Georgetown, Texas to Oliver Franklin and Lora Bell (Townsend) Clark.
Marguerite retired from the State of Texas but spent most of her life as a housewife. She loved getting together with family. She would often plan get togethers for lunch at Luby’s or to play games. She loved to play games, especially Bingo, Texas Canasta, and 42. She was very competitive when it came to her games. Marguerite really enjoyed going fishing…even though she was afraid of water.
She loved shopping. She enjoyed a good garage sale and shopping to find good deals. It didn’t matter what size the clothes were, if it was a good deal Marguerite would get it and figure out who to give it to later. You could always find her shopping for clothes and stilettos.
Marguerite was a heck of a cook. If someone stopped by, she would have an entire meal whipped up in 30 minutes and everything was homemade, of course, including her BBQ sauce. She was known for her BBQ chicken, chicken fried steak, and fried shrimp. And you better believe there was always enough sweet tea to go around.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, John Willard and Joseph Cameron, her brothers, Ollie Edward Franklin Clark, Charles Raymond Clark, and Ernest Clark, and her sister, Virgie Praesel.
Marguerite is survived by her son, Glenn Zieschang (Beckie), her daughters, Kaye Kisamore (Kenneth) and Rita Nowotny (Don), her grandchildren, Christa Zieschang, Keith and Kevin Kisamore, Kendra Myers, and Lee, Jeff and Brian Nowotny, her 11 great grandchildren, her sisters, Mildred Cast, Nell Swanberg (Gene) and Frances Heckman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marguerite’s name to Hospice Austin Christopher House, 2820 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Austin, Texas 78702.
