Lois Marie Walker

Lois Marie Walker, age 87, of Taylor, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

She was born on April 21, 1936, to Leonard and Ruby Stewart in Lockhart, Texas.

Lois retired from the banking industry after 32 years of service, beginning her career with Capitol National Bank and ending with Chase Bank.

She is survived by her son, Fred Walker, sisters, Marguerite Sedberry, Dorothy Smith, Shirley Haag, Louwayne Smyth, Alice Holcomo, and Linda Stewart and numerous other family members and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred Walker Jr. and brother, Bennett Stewart.

Lois was so thankful to Louwayne for getting the sisters together in December in memory of their mother.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses’ staff of Crestview Hospice, especially Beatrice and Marley for taking such great care of Lois. Fred would also like to thank all her sisters for the loving care they provided in the last few months and days, as well as Barbara, Mary, Lisa, and Brandy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Taylor.  The church is located at 411 CR 401, Taylor, Texas 76574. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
