Leon Cordova Jr.

Leon Cordova Jr., age 68, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away May 6, 2018.

Leon was born June 21, 1949 in Elgin, Texas to Leon Cordova Sr. and Soila Lett. He lived with his niece and caregiver Susan Cordova for 5 years until his passing, also with much gratitude for all Susan, Sal and her boys; Augustine Patino Jr., Luis Patino, Juan (Cheeko) Patino, and Jaime Guerrero, for all they’ve done for our dad.

He was preceded in death by Adam Cordova, Dolores Meredith and Soila Lett.

Leon is survived by his children’s mother Louisa Cordova, his children; Leon Cordova III of Elgin, Texas, Dolores C. Williams and husband Roy of Elgin, Texas, Rebecca C. Pinot and husband Danery of Manor, Texas, John T. Cordova of Elgin, Texas. He is also survived by sister Geneva Barker of Bastrop, Texas, ten grandchildren; Lisa Cordova Vasquez and husband Rogelio, Ashly Janes Marion and husband Ladetrick, Kenneth Ray Simmons Jr. and wife DezaRae Simmons, John T Cordova Jr., John A. Cordova, Jason Littleton, Jasmyne M. Cordova Misela A. Cordova, Mateo Castillo, and Dakota Jo Cordova, and five great-grandchildren; Marisa R. Cordova-Robert, Rogelio A. Vasquez Jr., Devante Janes, Aaliyah Janes and Alaysia Marion.

A Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Leon’s Life will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Elgin Latin Cemetery.
