Laverne Elaine Boehme

Laverne Elaine Boehme, age 80, of Manor, Texas went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, Saturday, July 8, 2023. Laverne was called home after confronting serious health challenges for most of this year.

She was born in 1942 in Caldwell, Texas to Ludwig and Lydia (Brinkman) Urbanovsky. Laverne was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She loved Jesus and her family and friends. She graduated Caldwell High School and attended Nixon Clay Business College before her career with the State of Texas from which she retired after 32 years. She loved her garden, crafts, chickens, and cats. She could grow anything if it made flowers, fruit or vegetables. Chickens were welcome in the yard and riding on the golf cart with her per their preferences. She was an excellent and faithful caregiver for husband, Norman. She was right at home at the Manor Community Farmers’ Market where she was an active, enthusiastic participant for years.

She is preceded in death by both her parents and her brother, Donnie.

Laverne is survived by her husband of 62 years Norman Boehme, sons Randall [Tammy] Boehme and Ricky [Sara] Boehme and her brother Elwood [Janet] and Sister-in-law, Nancy.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 1:00-2:00pm at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin, Tx. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm July 12, 2023 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 4:00pm at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Deanville, Tx.

Memorials can be made to Holy Word Lutheran Church in Austin and / or St. John’s Lutheran Church in Deanville, Tx.
