Larry Bob Larson

Larry Bob Larson, age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 02, 2024. He was born on January 12, 1944 to Robert and Sophie Larson.

Larry, a native of Elgin, Texas spent his entire life as part of the community.  He met the love of his life Linda Jonse in Elgin, and they were inseparable for fifty-six years.  During their life spent together they were blessed with three beautiful children, Michelle, Robert, and Flavia.

Larry was a loving husband and father who was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed the simple life of working and living on his farm, spending his time working the soil and raising his family in the clear, open, beautiful spaces of his home. One thing that Larry will be remembered for was how he always wanted to make people laugh.  He had a wonderful sense of humor that he willingly shared with the world, either telling jokes or making people laugh as he was the king of a well-timed one liner. His humor brought joy to those around him, and his joy and laughter will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sophie Larson.

Left to cherish him are his wife Linda Larson, his daughter Michelle and her husband Paul Mosley; son Robert and his wife Jessica Larson, their children Gabriel and Jaxon, his great granddaughter Ophelia; and his daughter Flavia Larson and her partner Travis.

A visitation will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2024, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with a Celebration of Larry's Life beginning at 11:00 AM.
