Lad Ivan Naizer

January 24, 1929 — January 15, 2021

Lad Naizer went to fish with the angels on Friday, January 15, 2021. Born January 24, 1929 to parents, John R. Naizer and Marcella Anna Bartosh Naizer, he is the last of 10 children. Growing up in the farming community of Granger, Texas, he met and fell in love with his wife Thelma Rozacky. He loved to tell the tales of his being a star football player and she the most beautiful cheerleader.

He spent his life with a hammer in one hand and a fishing pole or hoe in the other. If he was not at work as a carpenter, he was working in one of his many gardens, or fishing on the San Gabriel river. Fall and winter, he loved meeting family and friends at their hunting lodges in Stonewall and Cedar Park.  After   he retired, he spent many hours on Granger Lake and surrounding creeks, walking the banks and fishing for his favorite catch, crappie.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma and daughters Dianne Heitmann and husband Greg, Joanne Selucky and husband Clarence; grandchildren Heather Castro and husband Armando, Kristen Brawner and husband Brad, Garrison Simcik and wife Lori, Lori Mckinney and husband Steve, Jeffrey Selucky and wife Lisa, Gregory Heitmann, Susan Eberle and husband Ben, greatgrandchildren Jordan Castro, Alyssa Castro, Brooke Brawner, Joseph Simcik, and David Gregory Brawner; and special friends Jeff and Rudie Berger.

He will be buried alongside with his deceased parents, brothers and sisters, and son-in-law at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
