Joseph "Joe" McKamie was born on February 18, 1937, to Joseph Owen & Juanita (Stovall) McKamie in McClendon County. He grew up in the small town of Eddy, Tx where he attended Bruceville-Eddy Schools.
Joe and his wife Sherry (Shannon) had 3 children, Michael Wayne, Sherri Lynn, and Gregory Joe.
Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. His passion was his work, he worked in the transportation industry for various bus companies for 50 years. Most of those years were spent with Kerrville Bus Line. He was also a homebuilder and loved to golf in his free time.
Joe was a Mason and Past Master of Buda Lodge #800 for 50 years.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Juanita, wife, Sherry, Children, Michael Wayne, Sherri Lynn Seiford, and Gregory Joe. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Donald, Kenneth, Mary Summers, and Faye Fasel.
Joe is survived by his son-in-law, Bob Seiford, grandson, Christian Seiford, sisters, Peggy Murrin, Pat (Ernie) Cook, Linda Sue (Bob) Wilson, Cindy (Tim) Hughes, and brother, John (Shirley) McKaime.

A visitation for Joe McKamie will be held Friday, June 30, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin, Tx.
A Graveside Service will be Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at Cook-Walden Forrest Oaks (6300 W William Cannon Dr) in Austin, Tx.
