Jose Pedro Bahena Rangel

Jose Pedro Bahena Rangel at age 99, of Elgin Texas, passed away on Friday August 16, 2024. He was born October 19, 1924, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

“Don Pedro” as most family knew him by, is survived by his children Savino, Juan, Eustorgio, Irene, Eladia, Leobarda, Alberto, Alejandra; and 23 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren. He will be joining his loving wife Castula Perez Sanchez and son Cleto Bahena Perez in heaven.

Pedro’s hobbies were to play his violin, and he was known for having a produce and fruit stand on the weekends.

He will be deeply missed by all who know him, may he rest in peace and live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, August 22, 2024, with the Rosary starting 7:00PM, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home Chapel, 604 HWY 95 N, Elgin Texas 78621.

The Service will begin 10AM Friday August 23, 2024, at Sacred heart Catholic Church, 302 W 11th St, Elgin, Texas 78621. Following the service he will be laid to rest at Elgin Latin Cemetery.

José Pedro Bahena Rangel a los 99 años, de Elgin Texas, falleció el viernes 16 de agosto de 2024. Nació el 19 de octubre de 1924 en San Luis Potosí, México.

“Don Pedro”, como lo conocía la mayoría de la familia, le sobreviven sus hijos Savino, Juan, Eustorgio, Irene, Eladia, Leobarda, Alberto, Alejandra; y 23 nietos, y 35 bisnietos. Se unirá a su amada esposa Castula Pérez Sánchez y a su hijo Cleto Bahena Pérez en el cielo.

Los pasatiempos de Pedro eran tocar el violín, y era conocido por tener un puesto de frutas y productos los fines de semana.

Será profundamente extrañado por todos los que lo conocen, que descanse en paz y viva en los corazones de quienes lo amaron.

Se llevará a cabo una visita el jueves 22 de agosto de 2024, de 6:00 a 8:00 PM, con el Rosario comenzando a las 7:00 PM, en la Capilla de Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, ubicada en 604 HWY 95 N, Elgin, Texas 78621.

El servicio comenzará a las 10:00 AM del viernes 23 de agosto de 2024, en la Iglesia Católica del Sagrado Corazón, ubicada en 302 W 11th St, Elgin, Texas 78621. Tras el servicio, será sepultado en Elgin Latin Cemetery.
