Jorge Luis Arreaga, Sr.

Jorge Luis Arreaga, Sr., age 65, of Elgin, passed away on March 23, 2021.

Jorge was born in Mexico on October 7, 1955 to Jesus Arriaga and Enedina Castro. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Saenz and they had two children.

He worked for the State of Texas for 13 years. Jorge loved fishing and watching football. He also always loved to work on small projects.

Jorge is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Ann; his daughter, Madivelle Saenz; his son, Jorge Luis Arreaga, Jr and wife, Cynthia Arreaga; his grandchildren:  Christian Carlos, Joshua Carlos, Joseph Flores, Jelena Flores, and Elyana Arreaga; his sister, Elvia Arreaga and husband, Ricardo Garcia; his niece, Carolina D’bernal and husband, Eric D’bernal; his nephew, Ricardo Garcia and wife, Anai Adan; Veronica Arriaga and husband; one great-nephew; and two great-nieces.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Enedina.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elgin. Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery.
