John R. Williams

John Richard Williams Jr., left the world on April 11, 2017 to be with his Lord and Savior. Richard was born in Dalhart, TX on December 9, 1946, graduated from Tascosa High in Amarillo, TX, then became a part of his beloved Brotherhood of the Marine Corp. Richard grew up with a sister Donna Foust, two brothers Jody Gilles and Don Williams. For his professional career he chose the automobile business, where he was given the nickname “King Richard”. In 1978, he married a small town girl, Lynn Fricke whose devotion and love remained with him to the end. Richard and Lynn were blessed by a son, Kendall Sloan. Richard had numerous nieces and nephews, and lots of loved cousins. Richard was honored with a God son.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Marie Elliott Gilles. He was blessed with two fathers, John Richard “Hawk” Williams and W.C. “Pete: Gilles.

There will be a graveside service at 10:00 A.M. June 10, 2017 at Rosanky Cemetery.
