Juan "John" Flores

Juan Flores, age 75, of Elgin, passed away April 12, 2021 at his home in Elgin.

Juan was born on August 31, 1945 to Catarino and Antonia Flores. He graduated from Elgin High School and joined the US Navy Reserve and later the US National Guard Reserve. He had a long career with IBM from which he retired. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Juan was the best father and grandfather. He was an amazing person that never met a stranger and brought smiles to all. He will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Catarino Flores, Jr., Pete Flores, and Fernando Flores, and sister, Susie Flores Martinez.

Juan is survived by his sons, John Anthony Flores and Michael Flores, his daughter, Jeanette Flores Saucedo, the mother of his children, Amabeli Flores, his grandchildren, Nicolas, Madelyn, Michael, Ryan, Chris, Jessenia, Trinity, Trey, and Elias, and his sisters, Lacardia Jonse and Juliana Flores.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elgin. Interment will follow at Elgin Cemetery.
