Joe N. Orosco Sr.

Joe Neria Orosco Sr beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away on Tuesday February 13th, 2018 at the age of 74.

He was born on March 13, 1943 in Cuero, TX to Esiquio and Jesusa Neria Orosco. He was married to Cruz DeHoyos Orosco on June 23, 1962 for 55 beloved years. Together they raised a strong beautiful family with children; Diana Orosco Lopez and Joe Orosco Jr with wife Patricia Orosco, grandchildren; Letty Alvarado with husband Anthony Branch, Meagan Orosco, Aaron Orosco, Caitlyn Lopez, and Mia Lopez, and great granddaughters; Thaliya and Liana Branch.

Known as Roy, he was raised in Cuero, TX with surviving siblings Leandro Orosco Sr, Amalia Gutierrez, Severiano Orosco, and Robert Neria. His talent of being a jack of all trades allowed him to pursue all forms of work with welding, mechanics, and carpentry. Roy pursued his passion as an avid golf player, loving the feeling of competing in golf tournaments with family and friends. He enjoyed playing pool and fishing while always making jokes and telling stories. Roy loved spending time with all his family, never missing an opportunity to be together.

A viewing will held from 12:00 -7:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2018, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Celebration of Mass Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM. Monday, February 19. 2018, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop.
