Jerry Holley

May 29, 1946 — February 28, 2024

Jerry Holley, 77, died February 28, 2024 at his home in Cedar Creek, Texas.  He was born May 29, 1946 in Bloomfield Township, Ohio.

A combat veteran who served his country proudly in the U.S Marine Corps from 1963-1969 which included a 13-month tour in Vietnam as a Sergeant with Echo Company 2nd Battalion 3rd Marines.

His career as a machinist/tool & die maker gave him the opportunity to work in various places in the United States including for Hughes Aircraft where he was proud to contribute items to the Space Shuttle program and advanced weaponry used by the United States government.

He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #4228 in Titusville FL, a member of the American Legion Post #7 in Pulaski VA, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Riders Florida Chapter #1.

Jerry is survived by his three daughters, Shara (Will) Parkomaki, Jennifer Everhardus, Connie Kennedy; his two stepsons Leo (Nancy ) Baillargeon and Carroll “Hoppy” (Nancy) Hopkins, and six grandchildren: Courtney, Ian, Kaylin, Jenna, Julia and Austin.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Holley on November 8, 2022, his parents Orville & Callie Holley and his six siblings: Norma Armstrong, Orville Holley Jr., Robert Holley, Ethel Kovacic, James Holley and his twin brother Garrey Holley.

Services will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida on May 29, 2024 at 11:30am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation at www.mcsf.org.
