Jarrod Lynne Jarmon, age 47, of Lexington, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2022.
Jarrod was born on October 11, 1974, in Tomball, Texas, to Shirley Jarmon. He graduated from Elgin High School in 1993. After graduation, Jarrod worked at Carroll Systems. He then went to work for the Department of Public Safety in 2000 and to the Texas Parks and Wildlife following that. He worked as a telecom specialist at both. During this time, he also served with the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department. He later became an officer with the Elgin Police Department. In January 2019, he began working at the Lexington Police Department where he served honorably as Interim Chief at the time of his passing.
He enjoyed spending time with his children, McKenna, Jameson, and Aubrey. He enjoyed doing different projects around the house where McKenna would often join in. You could regularly find he and Jameson out playing a round of golf. He was a loving husband and father. Jarrod will be greatly missed by all those that loved him as well as the communities in which he served.
Jarrod is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Jarmon, and his grandparents, Gerald and Leona Jarmon. He is survived by his wife, Stormie Jarmon, and his children, McKenna Jarmon, Jameson Jarmon, and Aubrey Mansfield, his sister, Julianne and husband, Ben Burkhalter, his nephews, uncles, aunts, and numerous cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.
