Henry Mcbride

Henry L. McBride Sr. (Pops), age 71, of Elgin passed away Friday, November 30, 2018.

Henry McBride Sr. was born in Elgin, Texas to Willie Lee McBride and Eliza Jane McBride. He attended Elgin High School. He worked for the City of Austin for 27 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Eliza, wife Erma McBride, sister Tommy Johnson, brothers Wallace McBride and Walter McBride, and his daughter Teresa McBride.

Henry leaves to cherish his memory, son Henry Louis McBride Jr. and wife Bernadette, grandchildren; Trey McBride, Jarell McBride, Jayden McBride, Michelle (Nancy) McBride, Heather Vogler and Cierra Vogler. Great-Grandchildren; Amore McBride, Jamar, Jamarcus, Jamarius, Makayla, Ethan, and Julianna, as well as his sisters Alice Jean Wright and Stella Jane Guyton and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to thank Baylor Scott and White Emergency Services in Taylor, and Crescent Village Apartments where he lived for eight years. A Special Thanks to Rae, Constance and Mark for making him feel at home.

A Celebration of Henry (Pops) Life will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 8, 2018 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Youngs Prairie Cemetery.
