Harvey Joe Nemec

Harvey Joe Nemec age 76 of Elgin passed away Tuesday May 29, 2018.

Harvey was born September 6, 1941 in Taylor, Texas to Frank and Vlasta (Havelka) Nemec. He grew up in the Granger area and served in the United States Army. Harvey married Donna Dickey in 1966. He worked for the University of Texas for 50 Years. Harvey loved fishing and baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister Jeanette Carfer.

Harvey is survived by his wife, daughter Amy Nemec, sister in law Kathy Bartz and husband Howard, nieces, Christie Haub, Holli Poling, and Jenny Leschber and nephew Greg Childers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 4, 2018, S.S. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, TX. Burial will follow in the Beaukiss Cemetery in Williamson County, TX.
