Glenn Dale Bostic, 72 of the Knobbs Springs Community passed from this life on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Dale was born January 19th, 1952 to Ruth (Lawhon) and L.H. Shorty Bostic and was a lifelong resident of the Knobbs Springs Community. Dale was the youngest of five children and a 1970 graduate of Lexington High School. Dale met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Virginia Ann Whilhite in 1969 in the halls of Lexington High School. They were inseparable and married on August 7th, 1973.They were blessed with two children Shawn Dale Bostic and Michelle Leigh Bostic.
Throughout his younger life Dale was known to be a lover of the outdoors and hunting and fishing. He was also known to love his wife’s home cooking and sister Elizabeth Beauchamp's home cooking and his Aunt Blanche Brown's sweet ice tea. His family will always remember that
Dale loved fireworks on the 4th of July, Christmas lights in December and a good embellishment to his stories any time of year. He was a true lover of Austin City Limits and was an avid watcher of any programs on PBS. But Daddy’s favorite things to watch were Texas sunsets and starry
night skies. He was never a fan of crowds and marched to the beat of his own drum.
Dale is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years Virginia Wilhite Bostic of Knobbs Springs, son Shawn Bostic of Knobbs Springs, daughter Michelle Fisher and husband Kelly of Salty, and four grandchildren Zane Bostic and Jack, Luke and Molly Fisher. His brother Russell Bostic and
wife Connie of Knobbs Springs, sister-in-law Debbie Neidig and husband Terry of McDade and mother-in-law Ruth Wilhite of Tanglewood.
