Fred Saenz Jr.

Fred Saenz Jr, 73, of Elgin, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

Fred was  born and raised in Elgin to Facundo and Alefonsa Saenz on April 15, 1946. He worked as a Chief Desk Line Clerk for MKT Railroad for 27 years after returning as a Petty Officer Third Class from his service with the United States Navy.

Fred is survived by his son, Fred Saenz III, and his daughter, Monique Nunez, his sisters Maryann and Angie and brothers, Eddie and Arthur, six nieces, two nephews, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held 6:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2019, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Celebration of Mass Christian Burial will be held 10:00am, Monday, January 14, 2019,  Sacred Heart of Elgin Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Elgin Latin Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Dominguez, Alfred Candelas, TJ Dominguez, Ruben Sanchez, Phillip Nunez, and Arthur Nunez-Gonzalez.
