Fernando Jonse

Fernando Jonse was born July 27, 1933 in Elgin, Texas. He was called to our Lord on March 5, 2018 at the age of 84 from his home in Elgin, Texas.

Fernando retired from the University of Texas. During his lifetime he never lost the love of being outdoors, driving a tractor and maintaining his yard and for others. He was called to the Lord doing what he loved. He will be wearing a second pair of wings in heaven, he wore his first set here on earth.

Fernando was proceeded in death by his parents: Conrado and Manuela Jonse, his brothers: Herman Jonse Sr, Paul Jonse Sr, Conrado Jr, Sam Jonse, Sisters: Lupe Tamez, Sara Carmona and Fernando’s and Lacadia’s daughters Nellie, Fernanda and Catherine Jonse.

He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 45 years, Lacadia Jonse, his loving children, Delores (Robert) Cantu, Fernando Jonse Jr (late spouse Lana), George (Lisa) Jonse, Joseph (Lucy) Jonse, David (Gloria) Jonse, Richard (Dianne) Garcia, Daniel (Linda) Garcia, Marina Garcia, Raul (Heather) Baltazar and many Grandchildren, Greatgrandchildren and Great-Greatgrandchildren. He also leaves behind loving sisters Josephine “Fina” Mary Jo Lundgren, Susan (Shannon) Renteria, Johnny (Rita) Jonse, Thomas “Tom” Jonse, Rudy (Julia) Jonse.

A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2018, Providence-Jones Family with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 8, 2018 Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Elgin Cemetery.
