Elizabeth Conaway

Elizabeth “Betty” May Webb Conaway age 76, Went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 21 ^st 2019, while being surrounded by family.

Betty was born in Lueders, Texas September 21, 1942. She was one of six children. When Betty was 19 yrs. old she married Carl Conaway. They had three children together.

Betty was an excellent seamstress, did amazing upholstery, a CNA, and a cashier, mainly at Walmart in Taylor.  She always had a smile and a quick come back. She believed that no matter how bad something was, you always needed to find a laugh in it. Plus not one man in uniform was safe from her flirting.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Marion and Ona Fay Webb, her daughter Caroline Conaway, three sisters, a daughter-in-law Kimberly Conaway, and Betty’s former husband Carl.

Betty is survived by her son, Carl Gene Conaway, daughter, Renee Conaway Herndon (Michael), two brothers; Michael Webb (Stacy) and Melvin Webb (Nannette), several nieces and nephews, six wonderful grandchildren and five amazing Great-Grandchildren, as well as daughter by choice Sheila Brown.

Betty aka Maw or Grandma Texas, lived for her grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater joy then seeing them happy, laugh, and succeed in life. She bragged daily on each of them, they could do no wrong in her eyes, and each had a special place in her heart.

A Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2019 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Elizabeth's Life will be held 12:00 P.M. Monday, March 25, 2019 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Elgin Cemetery.
