Dorothy Jo Miller

Dorothy Jo Miller, age 88, of Elgin, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on March 31, 2019.

She was born to Will and Beaulah Kellar on January 17, 1931, in Smithville, Texas. Dorothy was member of the First Baptist Church for sixty six years and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6115 for over forty one years. She was loved by many and will be forever missed by family and friends

Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Adolph Miller, parents, sisters; Dot Dinges and Martha Yoast, brothers; Homer, Lumar, Wilbert, and John Kellar.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori Davis (Bobby Fisher) and grandson James Davis (Maggie Lara) of Manor, brother Buddy Kellar (Betty Evans) of Smithville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Special Thanks to the caring ICU nurses, doctors and staff at Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, the Heart Hospital of Austin, and staff at the S.P.J.S.T Nursing and Rehabilitation in Taylor.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Dorothy Jo’s Life will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 4, 2019 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Elgin Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest by the love of her life.
