Doris F. Heine

Doris McGinnis Heine, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Elgin, Texas. Doris was born February 12, 1940 in Elk City, Oklahoma to George Oliver McGinnis and Maggie Myrtle Thornburg McGinnis. Doris spent her youth in San Benito, Texas where she graduated from San Benito High School. In 1960 she married DD Daniels in Harlingen, Texas.

To that union, three children were born and survive Doris; Eugene Boyd Daniels (Kendra) of Carlsbad, New Mexico; Tracy Jean Daniels of Cuero, Texas; Lorie Ann Schroeder (Jeffrey) of Elgin, Texas. She is also survived by siblings, Maxine Mathias, Glenn McGinnis and her twin, Doyle McGinnis.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents and siblings James McGinnis and Joyce Moore and by husband Wayne Heine in 2007, whom she married in 1980.

She is survived by grandchildren Liesl Tucker, Evan Daniels, Levi Daniels, Amy Daniels, Megan Daniels, Alicia Daniels, Alex Daniels, David Daniels, Owen Daniels, Kristen Thomason (Ryan), Kyle Reynolds, Garrett Schroeder (Karly), Grayson Schroeder and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Providence Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 Hwy. 95, Elgin, Texas at 11 a.m. followed by a gathering at the First United Methodist Church, 216 West 3rd Street, Elgin,Texas 78621. Interment will follow at a later date.
