Daphne Ann O'Neal

Daphne Ann O’Neal, age 71, passed away October 25 ^th , 2017 in Austin, Texas.  She was born on May 03, 1946 in Lampasas, Texas.  After graduating high school she got a job working in the cafeteria at Fort Hood where she met Stafford O’Neal, whom she wed on June 19 ^th , 1968.  Shortly thereafter Daphne and Stafford took up residence in Austin, Texas where they raised their two sons, Larry and Walter.  Daphne loved taking photographs of family members and researching genealogy.  Family was everything to her.  Daphne’s final place of residence was in Elgin, Texas where she enjoyed gardening and entertaining family.

Daphne is survived by her husband of 49 years, Stafford O’Neal; sons Larry and Walter O’Neal; grandsons Justin, Troy, Austin and Blake; granddaughter Brooke; brothers Robert, Ronnie, Dennis, and Pete; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father John Carlton Gardner; mother Gladys Mable Daniel; sisters Bonnie Schmittendorf and Jackie Gamel; brother Terry Gardner.
