Cynthia Jean Sprague

Cindy Sprague, born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and most recently resident of Elgin, Texas, passed away on July 27 at the age of 66, surrounded by friends and family.

Cindy lived a life of adventure, including living in Germany and Alaska with her husband, Jim Sprague, whom she was married to for 47 years, and whom she knew she would marry on the first day they met. Cindy worked as a beautician, accountant and US postal worker. She a was fierce and loyal protector of those she held dear. Throughout her adventures, part of her heart remained in New England, with her beloved family and ocean.

She leaves behind her daughter Darcy Sprague, who she loved more than anything in the world; the dearest Welsh family—Patte, Kristi and Jim; Bryan Schneider, whom she was eager to have as a son in law; siblings Steve Darcy, Pat Darcy and Denise Simmons; and a greatly loved network of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop, TX on August 3, 2024 beginning at 1:00 p.m.
