Carol Ann Carlson

Carol passed away peacefully on 06/30/2020.  She was born on March 26, 1943 in Hempstead, Texas to J.B. and Edna Cole.  She graduated from Elgin High School and then worked in Austin for a short time before marrying Darry Carlson.  Most of her professional career was spent as a loving wife, mother and self-employed Wallpaper Contractor.  Carol and Darryl lived in several states before residing in Clear Lake (Houston, TX) for over 30 years, then returning to Elgin in 2008.

She is survived by her two children, son Greg Carlson and wife Tammy Carlson, grandchild Cole Carlson.  As well as three brothers Carl Cole, Cleburne Cole and Calvin Cole along with four sisters Nida Fay Schmidt, Marilyn Moore, Shirley Mueller and Juanita Carson.  She is preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Jo Gail Sconci and sister Gloria Farris.

Carol lived a full and joyous life through the love of her husband of 56 years Darryl, children, grandchildren, extended family and many friends.  Carol never met a stranger that would not later come to be a dear friend.  She was known for her love of many pets, parties, planning, decorating, green thumb, culinary skills, love of birds and nature while nurturing all.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 17, 2020 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.
