Billie Mcgary Walden

Billie McGary Walden, age 90, of Austin, Texas, passed away on September 20, 2021, in Pflugerville, Texas.

Billie was born on April 22, 1931, in Guadalupe County, Texas to Thomas Houston McGary and Lillie Mae Bingham McGary. She married Allen Worthington Walden in Austin, Texas. She worked at McCallum High School for most of her career.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Carpenters Union and Shriners International. Billie enjoyed making quilts, shopping, going out to eat, and spending time with her family.

Billie is survived by her children, Ronnie Harris, JoAnn Harris Peterson and husband, Terry, and Lonnie Harris and spouse, her grandchildren, Bobby, Jr., Stephen Peterson, Stephen Harris, and Carla, and numerous great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Allen, her daughter, Linda Kelly, and her granddaughter, Staci Harris Lamb.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.

Flowers may be sent to Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
