Billie Irene Milburn

August 12, 1931 — January 21, 2021

Billie Irene Milburn , age 89, of Elgin , Texas, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021. Billie has gone to join her beloved husband and so ul mate Malcolm Ray Milburn in heaven. She leaves behind three loving sons : Billy Ray Milburn, James Malcolm Milburn ; and , Myles Wayne Milburn. Billie absolutely adored her Grandchildren Mirriah Rayen Milburn, Kassidy Nicole Milburn, James Bart Milburn, Jacob Bret Milburn, Joseph Bradley Milburn, Joshua Myles Milburn, and Katie Elizabeth Milburn. Billie also lived to see ten Great-Grandchildren.

Billie was the oldest child of Alvin Lisper (Doc) Solomon and Irene Solomon . Billie was a good daughter who later invited her Mother into her home and cared for her for a number of years.

Family was everything to Billie .  Billie remained especially close to her siblings Linnie Moses, Gay Williams, Lena Mae Parker, Sylvia Smith , and Don Solomon.

Billie was a friendly and caring person with immense generosity. If you were down, she was a kind friend with a listening ear.  She passed judgement on no one.  She was a fabulous cook, thrifty at garage selling, loved to wear pretty clothes.  She was a woman confident in her own skin.

When the scale of life is weighed, Billie’s good far outweighs any flaws. Her’s was a life well lived.  Goodbye Mother , Goodbye Grandma .  Y ou are forever loved and never forgotten. You have gone not to dust, but to glory.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 Sunday, January 24, 2021, Youngs Prairie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the Family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 815 Market St., Galveston, Texas 77550.
