Ben Samudio

On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, Ben (Benny) Samudio, loving brother and uncle, passed away at the age of 92.

Benny was born on September 28, 1927.  Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Basilio and Candelaria Samudio, sisters, Barbara Sanchez, Susie Samaripa and brothers, Basilio Samudio Jr. and Matias Samudio.  He is survived by his sisters, Ramona Reyes, Elvina (Lupe) Villalobos and his brother, Faustino (Alice) Samudio and his sister-in-law, Connie Samudio as well as countless nephews and nieces.

“Tio Benny,” as he was affectionately known by his family, is remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his kindness, and his gentleness of spirit.  He was an avid UT baseball fan and loved to attend games with his family even into his 80s.

A public viewing will be on Friday, May 1, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM and the recitation of Holy Rosary will begin immediately after the public viewing, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the Manor City Cemetery – 582 N. Lockhart St at 10:00 AM
