Arturo Alvarado

Arutro Alvarado, age 86, of Elgin went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 29, 2017. He was born in Mercedes, Texas to Alvino Alvarado and Maria Trevino on March 10, 1931.

Dad was a very strong and loving man. He loved our mom so much, they were married for 63 years. Dad always enjoyed having family over for get-together’s. That when he was at his happiest. He loved to talk and laugh with everyone. Dad brought us all up to be caring and loving responsible. He is at peace now.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his two daughters, Joan Alvarado and Madliene Alvarado.

Arturo is survived by his wife Magdalena Alvarado and their three sons; step son Rufus Ortiz, Frank Alvarado, and Hector Alvarado. Three Grandchildren, Corrie Alvarado, Trent Alvarado, and Frankie Alvarado. As well as two Great-Grandchildren, and his Brother Sotero Alvarado.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday,June 2, 2017 Providence Jones Family Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Services officiated by Father George Joseph will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 3, 2017 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Private Interment at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas.
